dashmoto® Extended Warranty Terms

These Extended Warranty Terms (“Extended Warranty”) describe optional, paid coverage offered by dashmoto, Inc., located at 131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States (“dashmoto,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Extended Warranty products are separate from and supplemental to the dashmoto® Limited Warranty and are not included with the purchase of a dashmoto® scooter unless expressly selected and purchased.
1. Relationship to the Limited Warranty
Each Extended Warranty product provides additional coverage beyond the dashmoto® Limited Warranty for the duration specified at the time of purchase.
Except as expressly stated herein, all terms, exclusions, limitations, remedies, and dispute procedures described in the dashmoto® Limited Warranty continue to apply.
Nothing in this Extended Warranty modifies or replaces the Limited Warranty except for the duration of coverage provided under the specific Extended Warranty product purchased.
2. Definitions
"Original Retail Purchase Date" means the date on which the scooter was first sold at retail by dashmoto® or an authorized dashmoto® dealer.
3. Enrollment & Effective Date
Extended Warranty coverage may be purchased either:
(a) At the time of the scooter original retail sale; or
(b) After the original retail sale, subject to eligibility review and approval.
If purchase at the time of original retail sale, enrollment is automatic upon payment confirmation.
If purchase after the original retail sale, coverage becomes effective only after dashmoto® approves enrollment and payment has been received. Coverage does not apply retroactively to any period prior to approval.
Coverage is measured from the Original Retail Purchase Date unless otherwise specified in writing for a particular Extended Warranty product.
4. Coverage Duration & Measurement
Available options:
- 3-Year Extended Warranty
Provides a total of three (3) years of coverage from the Original Retail Purchase Date (1 year included under the Limited Warranty + 2 additional years). - 5-Year Extended Warranty
Provides a total of five (5) years of coverage from the Original Retail Purchase Date (1 year included under the Limited Warranty + 4 additional years).
Coverage ends automatically at the conclusion of the selected term.
dashmoto® may, at its sole discretion, offer additional extended coverage products in the future, subject to separate eligibility requirements, pricing, and terms in effect at that time.
5. Covered Components
Unless otherwise stated in writing, coverage under the Extended Warranty mirrors the components covered under the dashmoto® Limited Warranty and remains subject to the same exclusions and limitations.
Coverage applies only to defects in materials and workmanship under normal use consistent with product instructions.
6. Exclusions & Pre-existing Conditions
The Extended Warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Consumable or wear items
- Misuse, abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or failure to follow product instructions
- Unauthorized modifications, components, or service providers
- Accidents, environmental exposure, water damage, corrosion, or acts beyond our reasonable control
- Any condition excluded under the dashmoto® Limited Warranty
Coverage does not apply to any pre-existing condition, defect, damage, or issue that existed prior to approval of Extended Warranty coverage, including conditions reasonably apparent prior to application even if not formally diagnosed.
dashmoto® may require photographs, mileage verification, inspection or other documentation prior to approval and may decline coverage for excessive mileage relative to age.
7. Eligibility
Extended Warranty products are optional and offered at dashmoto®’s discretion.
Eligibility may be subject to verification at the time of enrollment, including confirmation of:
- Serial number
- Ownership
- Condition
- Mileage
- Age of the scooter
Eligibility requirements, pricing, and available coverage options may vary over time.
8. Remedies
If a covered defect is discovered during the Extended Warranty period, dashmoto®, in its sole discretion, will repair or replace the defective product or component.
Labor and shipping charges remain the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
Replacement components will be shipped to a location designated by dashmoto®, which may include the customer, the original purchaser, or an authorized service provider, at dashmoto®'s discretion.
The remedies described herein are the sole and exclusive remedies available under this Extended Warranty.
Liability under this Extended Warranty remains subject to the limitations contained in the dashmoto® Limited Warranty.
9. Transferability & Subsequent Owners
Extended Warranty products do not transfer upon resale, gifting, or change of ownership.
A subsequent owner may independently apply for Extended Warranty coverage within the eligibility window described above, subject to approval and applicable pricing.
Approval of coverage for a subsequent owner creates a new Extended Warranty agreement and does not transfer or revive any rights under the dashmoto® Limited Warranty.
10. Cancellations & Refunds
Extended Warranty purchases are final and non-refundable once payment has been received, except where required by applicable law.
dashmoto® may cancel coverage in the event of fraud, material misrepresentation, or violation of these terms.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, dashmoto®’s total liability under this Extended Warranty shall not exceed the amount paid for the Extended Warranty.
Under no circumstances shall dashmoto® be liable for incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
Some states do not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.
12. Governing Law and Venue
This Extended Warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
The informal dispute resolution procedures described in the dashmoto® Limited Warranty apply equally to this Extended Warranty.
Any disputes arising under or relating to this Extended Warranty shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Newark, Delaware.
