dashmoto® Extended Warranty Terms
Last updated: 7/26/2026
These Extended Warranty Terms (“Extended Warranty”) describe optional, paid coverage offered by dashmoto, Inc., located at 131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States (“dashmoto,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Extended Warranty products are separate from and supplemental to the dashmoto® Limited Warranty and are not included with the purchase of a dashmoto® scooter unless expressly selected and purchased or provided as part of a written promotion.
1. Relationship to the Limited Warranty
Each Extended Warranty product provides additional coverage beyond the dashmoto® Limited Warranty for the duration specified at the time of purchase.
Except as expressly stated herein, all terms, exclusions, limitations, remedies, and dispute procedures described in the dashmoto® Limited Warranty continue to apply.
Nothing in this Extended Warranty modifies or replaces the Limited Warranty except as expressly provided in these Extended Warranty Terms.
2. Definitions
"Original Retail Purchase Date" means the date on which the scooter was first sold at retail by dashmoto® or an authorized dashmoto® dealer.
"Original Retail Purchase Price" means the actual amount paid for the scooter when it was first sold at retail by dashmoto® or an authorized dashmoto® dealer, as reflected in the original sales records, excluding taxes, shipping charges, accessories, financing charges, and Extended Warranty fees.
"Original Purchaser" means the person or entity that first purchased the scooter at retail from dashmoto® or an authorized dashmoto® dealer.
"Extended Warranty Purchase Date" means the date on which dashmoto® receives any required payment and confirms the purchase or issuance of the Extended Warranty.
"Coverage Start Date" means the date on which Extended Warranty coverage begins for an eligible component. For the original purchaser, coverage for each component begins when the component's coverage under the dashmoto® Limited Warranty expires. For an approved Subsequent Owner, coverage begins on the Extended Warranty Purchase Date.
"Coverage Expiration Date" means the date on which Extended Warranty coverage ends, as stated in the purchaser's written confirmation.
"Subsequent Owner" means a person who acquires a dashmoto® scooter from its original purchaser or another owner.
"Applicable Limited Warranty" means the version of the dashmoto® Limited Warranty in effect on the scooter's Original Retail Purchase Date.
3. Purchase and Effective Date
Subject to the eligibility requirements in Section 8, Extended Warranty coverage may be offered:
(a) At the time of the scooter's original retail sale;
(b) To the original purchaser during a purchase period established by dashmoto®; or
(c) To an eligible Subsequent Owner while the scooter remains within 12 months of its Original Retail Purchase Date.
For the original purchaser, Extended Warranty coverage for each eligible component begins when the component's applicable coverage period under the dashmoto® Limited Warranty expires.
For an approved Subsequent Owner, coverage for all eligible components begins on the Extended Warranty Purchase Date.
Coverage does not apply retroactively.
The purchaser will receive written confirmation identifying the covered scooter, Extended Warranty Purchase Date, applicable Coverage Start Date, and Coverage Expiration Date.
4. Coverage Duration and Measurement
Available options:
- 3-Year Extended Warranty
The Coverage Expiration Date is the third anniversary of the Original Retail Purchase Date. For the Original Purchaser, ,the coverage structure consists of one year under the Applicable Limited Warranty plus two additional years under the Extended Warranty. - 5-Year Extended Warranty
The Coverage Expiration Date is the fifth anniversary of the Original Retail Purchase Date. For the Original Purchaser, the coverage structure consists of one year under the Applicable Limited Warranty plus four additional years under the Extended Warranty.
Coverage ends automatically at the conclusion of the selected term. The Coverage Expiration Date is not restarted or extended if dashmoto® repairs or replaces the scooter or any covered component.
dashmoto® may, at its sole discretion, offer additional extended coverage products in the future, subject to separate eligibility requirements, pricing, and terms in effect at that time.
5. Covered Components
Except for the treatment of the battery described in Section 6, coverage under the Extended Warranty mirrors the components covered under the Applicable Limited Warranty and remains subject to the same exclusions and limitations.
Coverage applies only to defects in materials and workmanship under normal use consistent with product instructions.
6. Battery Coverage
The Extended Warranty does not cover or extend coverage for the battery. Any battery coverage is governed exclusively by the Applicable Limited Warranty and expires 12 months after the Original Retail Purchase Date.
After that period, the battery is considered a consumable component. Gradual reduction in battery capacity, range, or performance resulting from age, use, charging practices, or storage conditions is not considered a defect.
Additional battery coverage applies only if expressly provided in writing by dashmoto®.
7. Exclusions and Pre-existing Conditions
All exclusions contained in the Applicable Limited Warranty apply equally to this Extended Warranty.
Coverage does not apply to a problem that began and was known, reported, or reasonably apparent before the applicable Coverage Start Date unless it was fully resolved before that date. A formal diagnosis is not required for a problem to be considered pre-existing.
8. Eligibility
Except where an Extended Warranty is purchased concurrently with a new scooter or expressly included as part of a written promotion, eligibility for an Extended Warranty is not automatic. All Extended Warranty applications are subject to review and approval by dashmoto®. Approval is based on the scooter's condition, mileage, maintenance history, ownership, and any other factors dashmoto® reasonably considers relevant.
Before approving an application, dashmoto® may verify the scooter's:
- Serial number;
- Original Retail Purchase Date;
- Ownership;
- Condition;
- Mileage;
- Maintenance history; and
- Existing or previously reported issues.
dashmoto® may require photographs, videos, mileage verification, inspection, maintenance records, or other documentation reasonably necessary to evaluate the application.
dashmoto® may decline an application based on the scooter's condition, excessive mileage relative to its age, prior damage, modifications, maintenance history, or other relevant factors.
Eligibility requirements, pricing, and available coverage options are determined at the time of application and may change prospectively.
9. Remedies and Warranty Service
The remedies and warranty-service procedures described in the Applicable Limited Warranty apply equally to this Extended Warranty.
For a covered defect, dashmoto® will, in its sole discretion, repair or replace the defective scooter or component. Covered replacement products and components are provided without charge; labor and shipping remain customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Replacement components will be shipped to a location designated by dashmoto®, which may include the customer, the purchaser of record, or an authorized service provider, at dashmoto®'s discretion.
To request warranty service, the customer must submit a Product Support ticket through the Contact Us page on the dashmoto® website during the applicable coverage period and provide:
- The scooter's serial number;
- Original Retail Purchase Date;
- Description of the issue; and
- Supporting photographs or video documentation.
dashmoto® may request additional information or documentation reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim. Warranty service will not be provided without prior review and approval by dashmoto®.
Repair or replacement does not extend the Coverage Expiration Date. The value of a complete replacement scooter counts toward the aggregate limit in Section 12.
These are the sole and exclusive remedies under this Extended Warranty.
10. Transferability and Subsequent Owners
Extended Warranty products do not transfer upon resale, gifting, or change of ownership.
A Subsequent Owner may independently apply for Extended Warranty coverage if the scooter remains within 12 months of its Original Retail Purchase Date and the application is submitted within 30 days after the Subsequent Owner acquires the scooter.
Any application by a Subsequent Owner is subject to dashmoto®'s approval, eligibility requirements, and applicable pricing and fees in effect at the time of purchase.
Approval of coverage for a Subsequent Owner creates a new Extended Warranty agreement in that owner's name and does not transfer or revive any rights under the dashmoto® Limited Warranty or an Extended Warranty held by a previous owner.
11. Cancellations and Refunds
The purchaser may cancel at any time by written notice to care@dashmoto.co.
If canceled within 60 days after receipt of these Terms and no claim has been made, the purchaser will receive a full refund without a cancellation fee.
Otherwise, the purchaser will receive a pro-rata refund calculated, where permitted by law, based on elapsed coverage time or the value of benefits provided. For cancellations after 60 days, dashmoto® may deduct the lesser of 3% of the Extended Warranty purchase price or $25.
dashmoto® may cancel for fraud, material misrepresentation, or material violation of these Terms, subject to applicable law.
Any greater cancellation or refund rights required by applicable law will apply.
12. Limitation of Liability
The remedies in Section 9 are the purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedies.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total value of all benefits provided under this Extended Warranty will not exceed the Original Retail Purchase Price. Coverage terminates when that limit is reached.
dashmoto® is not liable for incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages where such limitations are permitted by law.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
The governing-law, venue, and informal dispute-resolution provisions described in the Applicable Limited Warranty apply equally to this Extended Warranty.
